Anky van Grunsven's Bonfire, who passed away October 2013, was patron of a Dutch foundation which give former ridingschool horses a nice retirement. This 'function' has been transferred to Salinero since this year. Bonfire remains patron as well.
On Bonfire's birthday Salinero got a fruit basket from this foundation, like Bonfire for many, many years.
